Hi! I have two questions

First.
I'm trying to add a "Privacy Policy" textarea in my form.
If i put inside the textarea a placeholder with privacy policy text, it obviously disappears when I click inside the field.
Is it possible to add the "read only" property to a textarea?

Second.
I have a link in my page bottom text to show the Privacy Policy text. Is it possible to open the link in a modal popup window?

My Joomla! version is the 2.5.14
